Description: Recently I have been exploring and testing all the recording features in MW3 and came across with a lot of issues. After finding some solutions and decided to make a tutorial on how to record MW3. Below you can find more helpful information. If you have any more helpful tips put it in comments below. 1st Step: Install •DL editing cfg/reshade preset/skyconverter: bit.ly/2KiLCBU •If you are using your own cfg and want to use reshade make sure u add the game at Native and then on AA (anti aliasing), it's weird since normally u turn it off on other games but mw3 works somehow so enable it for better quality. •DL Reshade: bit.ly/2YVWTMo open Reshade.ini in notepad and add this text: PreprocessorDefinitions=RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE=1000.0,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN=0,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED=0,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC=0 and change Reshade_Depth_Input_Reserved = 1 to 0 •DL IW5: codmvm.com •DL skies: bit.ly/2Kc6oDe & bit.ly/2Z12LUF tut [youtu.be/HhSfTYlGfAY] •DL Vdub: bit.ly/2C2RNUL 00:55 2nd Step: Quality •Nvidia Settings •Open ShadowPlay/Fraps - best quality •Quality in Game [anti-aliasing: OFF] 01:40 3rd Step: Find Demos •Fake frags or make yourself the demos in normal matchs. •If you want to share a demo or play a demo from a friend you can copy or paste in the game folder: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3\main\demo 4th Step: Setting up your atmos •02:45 Lunch IW5 [so you can enable the console and other option (press: TAB)] •Basic movement keys using IW5 console: -left mouse button: camera up -right mouse button: camera down -scrollwhell: rotation camera •03:31 FOG 1: from IW5 [I would not recommend since doesnt affect the sky] •04:09 FOG 2: from reshade [press SHIFT + F2 to turn on or setup your own bind in reshade settings: 09:45] •06:00 Changing Sky [tutorial: youtu.be/HhSfTYlGfAY] •07:27 Changing Sun 07:47 5th Step: 3 Ways to Record [Mirv, avi_demo, shadowplay/fraps] •08:05 Mirvs: records everything together [greenscreen,dof,world] Most of the times its unsync but you can still manage to your effects if is fast, testing mirvs: bit.ly/2wtV9xF UPDATE: ENABLE VSYNC so it fits with each other on post! the layers will still flash but not as much when i test it. •08:27 Avi Demo: records whats in the screen, so if you want dof/greenscreen you need to enable and rec it seperatly using IW5, testing avidemo: bit.ly/2wtjSCt •08:37 ShadowPlay/Fraps: Its the simple way to rec if you want to make sure your DOF fits. If you dont want dof you can remove it, same with fog.
